Grunge Girlz

What you need:
Scrap Kit, Smack This by Roo; you can get it for free at www.digidivas.com while their birthday celebration is going on.
Standing and sitting tube.  I am using the artwork of Mark Wasyl.  I have a CILM license to use his work.  CILM has closed and I haven’t found where he is selling tubes of his work anymore.
Eye Candy 4000, Gradient Glow

This tutorial assumes that you have working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro and it’s tools.  This tutorial was written by Valerie Atwell of KLBDesignz, on June 4, 2012.  You may not copy it, distribute it or claim it as your own.  You are welcome to include a link back to my tutorial for your groups and forums.  If this tutorial resembles any other in existence, it is purely coincidence.

Open Element 21.  Hit Shift + D on your keyboard to duplicate it.  Close the original.  Go to Image, Canvas Size, Width 600 Height 600, click ok.  Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.

Open Element 59.  Copy and Paste as a new layer.  Resize the mesh by 75%.  Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.  On the layers palette, click and drag this layer to move it to the bottom.

Open Element 08.  Copy and Paste as a new layer.  Resize by 60%.  Image, Free Rotate by 35.  Move it to the top left corner of the frame.  Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.

Open Element 10.  Copy and Paste as a new layer.  Resize by 50%.  Image, Free Rotate by 10.  Move it to the left side of the skull.  On the layers palette, click and drag this layer just under the skull layer.  Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.

Duplicate this star layer.  Image, Mirror.  Move it to the right side of the skull.  Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.

Grab your magic wand tool and click inside the wire frame.  You will have to hit shift and click around the stars to get it all selected.  Go to Selections, Modify, Expand by 5.

Add a New raster layer.  Open Paper 04.  Copy and Paste into selection.  On your layers palette, move the paper layer under the wire frame.  Selections, Select None.

Open Element 18.  Copy and Paste as a new layer.  Move it to the top right of the frame.  With your magic wand, click inside the heart charm.  Be sure to shift and click inside the link of chain inside the charm.  Modify, Expand by 5.

Add a New raster layer. Open paper 09.  Copy and Paste into selection.  Move this layer below the charm.  Select none.  You may have to erase some of the paper at the top.  Change the blend mode to Overlay.   Activate the charm layer.  Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.

Add a drop shadow to the charm layer and any other other layers if you choose.  I used the following settings:  V-2, H-2, O-80, B-3, color Black.

Make sure your charm layer is active.  Click zoom until you can see the charm really well.  I zoomed to 250%.

With your eraser tool with the following settings:  Round, Size 5, Hardness 58, Step 36, the rest at default settings.  Erase enough of the ring so that it looks like the charm is hanging on the frame.  See my example if you need to.  Zoom back out so that you can see the whole tag.  I zoomed out to 83%.

Open Element 92.  Copy and Paste as a new layer.  Resize by 50%.  Move it to the bottom left corner of the frame.  Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.

Open your sitting tube.  Copy and Paste as a new layer.  Bring it to the top layer.  Resize it as needed.  I “sat” mine on one of the stars on the right side of the frame.  I also added a thin glow to her instead of a drop shadow so that she stands out.

Open your standing tube.  Copy and Paste as a new layer.  Move it under the wire frame.  Erase any of the excess tube that is outside of the frame.

Change the blend mode to Hard Light with the Opacity set at 67%.

Add your copyright.  I put mine inside the tag so that it is hard to remove.

Add your name.  I used a Grunge Font called Old Printing Press then added the same glow that I used on the first tube.

Save it as a PNG so that the background is transparent and you are done!

Thanks for doing my tutorial.
